SEGA and the International Olympic Committee have announced that merch themed around Olympic Day and Sonic the Hedgehog is available now. The announcement coincides with the ongoing Sonic 35th anniversary.

The collaboration, which celebrates the anniversary of the day The Olympics were created, includes five unique and colorful T-shirt and hoodie designs. Each features Sonic the Hedgehog, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Shadow trying out the Olympic sports of basketball, skateboarding, weightlifting, tennis and football. This comes just a year after SEGA and the International Olympic Committee announced a multi-year licensing deal between the Olympics and Sonic the Hedgehog. The shirts/hoodies are available now via the Olympics website

Today, SEGA finally released the long-rumored Sonic Frontiers – Definitive Edition, available now on Nintendo Switch 2. Physical editions are available to order at most local and online retailers.  This new version of Frontiers includes new visuals designed for the Nintendo Switch 2, as well as the post-launch “The Final Horizon” story campaign. Additionally, it also includes the other post-launch content updates: “Sights, Sounds, and Speed” and “Sonic’s Birthday Bash.” The Explorer’s Treasure Box, “Monster Hunter” Collaboration Pack, Sonic Adventure 2 Shoes, and Holiday Cheer Suit are featured too, alongside a digital art-book and mini soundtrack.

Earlier this year, Paramount Pictures released the first teaser trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 4. It featured Sonic, Dr. Robotnik, Knuckles, Tails, Shadow, Tom and Maddie, Amy Rose, and Metal Sonic. The trailer features the description “the countdown to chaos has begun,” leading to many to speculate that the film will feature the debut of Team Chaotix or Chaos. Lastly, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will premiere in theaters on March 19, 2027.
