The MAPPA 15th Anniversary Lineup Reveal event brought the reveal of a new anime adaptation of usagi’s JIMOTO SAIKO! (Hometown is the Best!) manga. The JIMOTO SAIKO! anime will be streaming worldwide on Netflix, and a new trailer was revealed featuring the song “milk” by aiko.

usagi launched the manga on X (formerly Twitter) before publisher Saizusha began releasing the manga series in print. Saizusha published the first compiled volume in August 2022, and the most recent and eighth volume was released in August 2025.
MAPPA also announced a new anime adaptation of Naoki Fujita’s Beat & Motion manga series, which will premiere in 2027 on Netflix. Fujita launched the manga on Shonen Jump+ in February 2023. VIZ Media and MANGA Plus are releasing the manga in English.
