In gameplay, players may use Max Actions and Super Moves to take risks for high rewards and use strategies to score goals and defend against the opposing team’s attacking plays.

Yoichi Takahashi’s Captain Tsubasa manga series initially began in 1986. The series focuses on 11-year-old Tsubasa Ōzora, a talented soccer player who dreams of competing in the World Cup. The manga would go on to receive multiple anime adaptations, including Captain Tsubasa: Junior Youth Arc on Crunchyroll.
