Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for upcoming “super action soccer” game CAPTAIN TSUBASA 2: WORLD FIGHTERS to go over the game’s systems and mechanics. As shown in the system trailer, CAPTAIN TSUBASA 2: WORLD FIGHTERS players may use Max Actions and Super Moves to take risks for high rewards and use strategies to score goals and defend against the opposing team’s attacking plays.
The following systems will ensure victory in CAPTAIN TSUBASA 2: WORLD FIGHTERS:
- Max Actions: High risk, high reward power moves that dominate offensive and defensive exchanges.
- Super Moves: Character specific abilities for forwards, midfielders, and defenders, including Super Shots, Super Passes, Super Dribbles, and Super Tackles.
- Chain System: Build momentum through dribbles, passes, and special actions to amplify shot power and charge speed.
- Goalkeeper Tactics: Six directional shot prediction, stamina-based duels, and break mechanics that permanently reduce keeper stamina.
- Miracle Actions: Rare, dramatic comeback moments that can turn the tide of a match, capturing the unpredictable spirit of the original series.
CAPTAIN TSUBASA 2: WORLD FIGHTERS launches in 2026 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. This is the biggest Captain Tsubasa game yet with 22 national teams, over 110 playable characters, more than 150 new moves, and much more.
Yoichi Takahashi’s Captain Tsubasa manga series initially began in 1986. The series focuses on 11-year-old Tsubasa Ōzora, a talented soccer player who dreams of competing in the World Cup.
