BANDAI and its BANDAI CARD GAMES brand have revealed NARUTO CARD GAME, a new trading card game based on Masashi Kishimoto’s iconic Naruto manga and anime franchise. The new card game is planned to launch in 2027 worldwide as a strategy-focused, competitive trading card game, and a new key visual, teaser trailer, commemorative illustration, and comment from creator Kishimoto were revealed.

The card game will make its world debut at Gen Con 2026, which runs from July 30 to August 2 in Indianapolis. Gen Con attendees can attend the first-ever NARUTO CARD GAME Tutorial Sessions. By joining a Tutorial Session, participants can receive a gift set containing a CP-001 Chakra Card -Gen Con 2026 Ver.- promotional card, a special backpack, a sticker, and a purchase ticket for a “NARUTO CARD GAME Official Playmat -Arriving in 2027-” (purchase ticket valid only on the day of the attended event). Visitors to the booth can also receive an exclusive backpack and sticker (the giveaway concludes when each day’s allocated amount is given away). Tutorial Session ticket registration will open on June 21 via the official Gen Con 2026 website, with Gen Con admission required to participate.
Previously, TV Tokyo confirmed that there are plans for new projects to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Naruto anime, including “games developed by new partners.” TV Tokyo CEO and president Hiroshi Yoshitsugu also commented on global momentum building toward the Naruto anime’s 25th anniversary in 2027.
Originally, new anime specials were planned for the Naruto 20th anniversary. However, these anniversary specials were delayed indefinitely to improve its quality.
