Bandai Namco and Supermassive Games have announced the first DLC expansion coming to Little Nightmares III, titled The Backstage. It will release on June 12 as part of the Secrets of the Spiral season pass.

The press release describes the DLC as follows: “In this adventure, Low will meet Dime, a new child who wears a torch hat, a very helpful tool for finding their way in what lies beneath the curtains of The Carnevale. The two children will have to face new threats and use their light to find a way to save Alone from the hands of the Puppeteer. ” Check out the first trailer for Little Nightmares III – The Backstage below:

Little Nightmares III is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. Further, the Standard and Deluxe Editions are available for $39.99 and $59.99, respectively, in PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, and Nintendo eShop. The following editions are also available to purchase:

  • Digital Deluxe Edition – includes Secrets of The Spiral – Expansion Pass and the Residents Costumes Pack
  • Collector “Mirror Edition” includes Deluxe Edition content, a figurine, a metal case, a physical artbook, the OST in digital and physical format, and some stickers
  • Premium Collector “Spiral Edition” (Bandai Namco Store exclusive) – includes the Collector “Mirror Edition” figurine, enhanced with a music box base, a Nome controller/phone holder and a double-sided coin of Low and Alone.

Lastly, Final Weapon reviewed Little Nightmares III and gave it a 3 out of 5, noting that “while the game’s atmosphere, art direction, and world-building are hauntingly beautiful, its lack of true scares and overly simple puzzles hold it back. The co-op mechanics feel underutilized, and solo play suffers due to overly helpful AI. Despite its flaws, the game’s strong visuals and collectibles make it a worthwhile yet uneven experience for fans of the series.”
