The staff of Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu’s The Promised Neverland manga series confirmed that the manga is returning for a new one-shot. This new one-shot for The Promised Neverland depicts a “special side story,” and it’s scheduled to release in summer 2026 in Weekly Shōnen Jump. A sneak peek of the one-shot was also revealed.
The new one-shot manga celebrates the 10th anniversary of The Promised Neverland. There will be five major projects for the anniversary, including The Promised Neverland Musical, a new online lottery, and a new pop-up store.
The Promised Neverland was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from August 2016 to June 2020. 20 volumes were released, and the manga received a TV anime adaptation by CloverWorks that ran for two seasons.
VIZ Media publishes the manga series in English and describes the first volume’s story:
Emma, Norman and Ray are the brightest kids at the Grace Field House orphanage. And under the care of the woman they refer to as “Mom,” all the kids have enjoyed a comfortable life. Good food, clean clothes and the perfect environment to learn—what more could an orphan ask for? One day, though, Emma and Norman uncover the dark truth of the outside world they are forbidden from seeing.
