Kodansha and MachHabaneroGames have announced that hack-and-slash strategy game Mythmon: Mythic Monsters launches in summer 2026 for PC via Steam.

Here’s an overview of the game, via Steam:

Mythmon: Mythic Monsters is a Hack & Slash x Strategy game where your goal is to build the ultimate monster party and defeat the Demon King’s army.

As a commander, you will head into battle by combining Mythmon, equipment, and tactical formations. Combat progresses through an auto-battle system, meaning your pre-battle preparation is the key to victory.

Featuring 30 types of Mythmon and over 140 pieces of equipment, the combinations are endless. Save the world from the Demon King’s invasion with your own unique, ultimate party!

Meet the Mythmon

The stars of the show are the adorable Mythic Monsters, affectionately known as “Mythmon”! Each Mythmon possesses unique characteristics. As they level up, you can choose and acquire new traits, allowing you to raise them into your ideal battle partners.

Party Formation

Build a party of up to 5 Mythmon. Strategically assign them to three key positions: the sturdy Frontline, the agile Mid-guard, or the high-damage Backline. With over 10 types of status effects, you’ll need to experiment with synergies between equipment and traits to find the perfect setup.

High-Stakes Battles

The true thrill of this game lies in the intense struggle for equipment. Win a battle to seize powerful weapons from your enemies and instantly boost your combat power. But be careful—if you lose, your own weapons will be stolen, making the Demon King’s army even stronger. Will you charge forward boldly or have the courage to retreat? Your decision is the key to victory.
