During its Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 panel, Toei Animation and Shueisha released the “SUPER GEKITOU” trailer for Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, which includes a tease for Frieza. The trailer hints that there’s more in store with Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, and an updated adaptation of the Resurrection of F arc could be just that.
In addition, Masako Nozawa (voice of Son Goku), Koichi Yamadera (voice of Beerus), Jason Douglas (English dub voice of Beerus), and franchise executive producer Akio Iyoku also shared comments regarding the Dragon Ball Super: Beerus anime.
Yamadera shared his excitement for the adaptation, stating that he’s “happy to see ‘Beerus’ in the title.” Douglas also commented on his English dub role as Beerus, stating that “it’s an amazing thrill to see Beerus take center stage.” Nozawa commented on the trailer, noting that “The battle between Goku and Beerus was so thrilling and epic! Then… Frieza appears at the end!”
Iyoku spoke about what makes Beerus so special, saying that “He is indeed an unpredictable and awe-inspiringly powerful god. Dragon Ball Super is a series that begins to move forward because of the existence of this God of Destruction Beerus. The entire production staff has been working tirelessly to deliver Beerus’s strengths and existence with the latest visual techniques, for everyone to enjoy to the fullest.”
As previously announced, Dragon Ball Super Beerus is an enhanced version of the first arc of the Dragon Ball Super anime with improved animation and sound, redrawn cuts, and a “reconstructed narrative.”
In addition, the Dragon Ball Super anime will continue in Dragon Ball Super The Galactic Patrol. Dragon Ball Super The Galactic Patrol will cover the events of the manga’s Moro arc.
