Netmarble has released a new update for THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK, which adds new fighter Krizalid and a returning Omega Rugal. It also features new gameplay enhancements and several in-game events.
One of the enhancements increases the number of fighters that can be deployed in Story Stages from 5 to 9. Additional slots will unlock progressively based on players’ current stage progression. The tiers of Synergy Effects have also been expanded to unlock stronger and more flexible combinations that allow players to explore new ways to approach the battle. Further, a special check-in event will run from April 16 to April 29. Those who log in to the game during the event period will receive rewards such as 50 DNA and 2,400 Fighter Origins.
Krizalid is a new fighter with [Corrosion] synergy. He is an executive of NEST that wields flame-based attacks and possesses powerful signature skills. These include “Lightning Disaster EX” and “Desperate Overdrive EX.” The Krizalid Pick-Up Event and the [Corrosion] Synergy Fighter Summon Event running through April 29 will allow players to acquire Krizalid and fighters with [Corrosion] synergy, respectively.
Additionally, Omega Rugal, a dark weapon merchant and a fighter with [Special] Synergy, has returned as part of the update. He wields his [Boss Mode] ability, which increases his attack and reduces incoming damage. Players can obtain Omega Rugal through the League Battle Shop and Premium Summon. Two more events are now live as well: Lucky Elpy Event, which runs from April 21 to April 25 and allows players to get Legendary Supporter kimjaehoon. Then, from April 23 to May 6, the Breezy Hideout Event provides a chance to meet Legendary pets KeKe-zalid and Archybeav.
Lastly, THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK is available now for Android via Google Play and iOS via App Store.
