GRYPHLINE and Mountain Contour have announced that the Arknights: Endfield Version 1.2 update, titled “At the Wake of Spring,” will launch on April 17. Arknights: Endfield Version 1.2 will introduce new story quests, a “high-stakes” boss encounter, new playable Operator Zhuang Fangyi, expanded exploration, and more additions to the game’s factory-building systems.

Get the full details about the new update below:

Centered on the core chapter in the Wuling storyline, the update brings major story developments, a high-stakes boss encounter, a new playable Operator, expanded exploration, and meaningful additions to the game’s factory-building systems.

As tensions rise across Wuling, the story begins with an urgent message from Zhuang Fangyi after Ardashir suddenly appears in the new Marker Stone area, which serves as a critical facility central to Wuling’s stability. At the same time, Nefarith moves into open conflict, setting the stage for players’ first direct battle against her as they push deeper into the crisis threatening Wuling. Already a central figure in the storyline, Zhuang Fangyi will make her playable debut in this update, bringing powerful Electric damage and a combat style that blends lightning-based attacks with swordplay.

Beyond its new story content, ‘At the Wake of Spring’ introduces additional map and exploration content in Wuling, with Test Area scheduled to open later in the update cycle as players take part in post-disaster restoration, puzzle-solving, and deeper regional exploration. The update also expands the game’s industrial gameplay with a new outpost, new resources, and new production options that deepen Arknights: Endfield’s blend of combat, exploration, and large-scale infrastructure building.

The update also includes new event content, permanent gameplay updates, a range of quality-of-life improvements across progression, combat, and industrial management, and additional player rewards.

Arknights: Endfield is available now for Android, iOS, PlayStation 5, and PC via Epic Games Store. Ahead of launch, Final Weapon reviewed Arknights: Endfield and gave it a 3.5/5 score, noting the game is “a visual masterclass with an easy to learn but fun to master combat system and world to explore.”
