Kei Urana has announced that her Gachiakuta manga will return with its next chapter on March 25, marking the end of a near two-month hiatus. The Gachiakuta manga will presumably pick up with chapter 163.

Gachiakuta has been serialized as an ongoing series since February 2022 in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine. 18 volumes have been released for Gachiakuta so far, and the manga went on hiatus after the release of chapter 162.5 on February 3. Fans can catch up with the series in English on Kodansha’s K MANGA service.

Fans can also look forward to Gachiakuta Season 2 and GACHIAKUTA: The Game, a new game adaptation for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The first season of the Gachiakuta anime is streaming on Crunchyroll , so now is the perfect time to catch up on the series.

Lastly, here’s an overview of the anime, via Crunchyroll:

Crawl back from the abyss of Hell to change this lousy world!

Rudo lives in the slums of a floating town, where the poor scrape by under the shadow of the rich who live a sumptuous life, simply casting their garbage off the side, into the abyss.

Then one day, he’s falsely accused of murder, and his wrongful conviction leads to an unimaginable punishment—exile off the edge, with the rest of the trash.

Down on the surface, the cast-off waste of humanity has bred vicious monsters, and if Rudo wants to have any hope of discovering the truth and seeking vengeance against those who cast him into Hell, he will have to master a new power and join a group known as the Cleaners who battle the hulking trash beasts of the Pit!
