Electronic Arts and Battlefield Studios have announced that Season 2 of Battlefield 6 will release on February 17. Additionally, a new trailer has released showcasing the different adjustments to the main multiplayer mode and REDSEC.

Similarly to season 1, there will be multiple phases to the season. The first phase of Season 2 is Extreme Measures, which will launch with the update. This will include the new expansive map Contaminated and a new limited-time mode in which the map is covered in hallucinogenic smoke. Returning is the fan favorite vehicle AH-6 Little Bird helicopter, and players can utilize 3 new weapons and 2 new gadgets.
The second phase is Nightfall, launching March 17th. Another new map, Hagental Base, will release alongside a limited-time game mode where players will have to battle in the darkness. REDSEC will also host a limited-time gauntlet mode and give players a new point of entry to the map. Players will be able to ride the new Dirt Bike vehicle, as well as use 2 new weapons. The final phase is Hunter/Prey, launching April 14th. It will add the Operation Augur limited-time mode. Further, players will be able to use the new LTV vehicle and a new melee weapon.
Battlefield 6 is the best selling shooter of 2025 and set a sales record in the Battlefield franchise. The game is available for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and EA Launcher. Final Weapon reviewed Battlefield 6; scoring the game a 4 out of 5, praising its refined first person action and describing the game as “a return to form for the franchise in gameplay, features, and experiences.” You can watch our video review here.
