Electronic Arts and Battlefield Studios’ Battlefield 6 is now the best-selling game and shooter of 2025 year-to-date, according to Circana’s U.S. video game sales charts for October 2025. Battlefield 6 is the current best-selling game of 2025 on both Xbox and PC aggregated storefront charts, and the game ranks 2nd year-to-date on PlayStation consoles behind NBA 2K26.
According to Circana director Mat Piscatella, Battlefield 6 produced the highest single month US physical and digital full game tracked dollar sales total in three years. The last game to generate a larger dollar sales total in a single month was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II in October 2022. Battlefield 6 is also the best-selling game in franchise history, beating the lifetime sales total of previous record holder Battlefield 1.
The only game rivaling Battlefield 6 in sales is Pokémon Legends: Z-A, 2025’s best-selling physical game year-to-date. Pokémon Legends: Z-A was the second overall best-selling game of October 2025, and it’s also the best-selling game of the month on Nintendo platforms. Nintendo Switch 2 is also 68% ahead of the sales pace of the original Nintendo Switch, and 3% ahead of the PlayStation 4’s previous record sales pace.
Battlefield 6 is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Final Weapon reviewed Battlefield 6 and gave it a 4 out of 5 score, noting that the game is a return to form for the series with refined first-person shooter gunplay, fan-favorite multiplayer modes and weapons, tried-and-true progression systems, and a single-player campaign that reminds players what Battlefield is all about.” Final Weapon’s Battlefield 6 review is also available on YouTube.
