HoYoverse has announced that Genshin Impact Version Luna V “Song of the Welkin Moon: Variation — Homeward, He Who Caught the Wind” will launch on February 25. Genshin Impact Version Luna V will invite players back to Mondstadt, where a brand-new event and Varka await.

Varka, Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius and Knight of Boreas, will finally join the roster as a playable 5-star Anemo claymore wielder. His Story Quest will reveal more insight into the character, and players can take advantage of his dual-wielding combat style, which allows him to deal two different types of Elemental DMG simultaneously. Varka’s Elemental Skill allows him to enhance his Normal Attacks and convert the DMG type of his right-hand claymore based on his teammates’ elements while his left-hand claymore deals Anemo DMG. Activating additional enhanced Normal Attacks with Varka allows him to activate a special Elemental Skill or trigger a unique Charged Attack that does not consume Stamina, and damage output is improved by his Hexerei effect.

After Varka defeats another Wolf Spirit fragment in battle, players can claim a brand-new
weapon appearance for both of his weapons, entirely for free. Varka makes his debut in the first phase of the Event Wishes alongside a rerun of Flins. In the second phase of Version Luna V, Skirk and Escoffier will be available in Event Wishes, and the Chronicled Wish featuring Mondstadt characters will also make its return.

Genshin Impact Version Luna V also introduces a major flagship event that lets players revisit memories from the very beginning of their journey and reunite with familiar faces fin Mondstadt. The “Echoes of Memory” event lets players spot differences in past adventures and memories with the Spotter Kamera, and new special Gliding and Combat Challenges give players opportunities to earn rewards like the new crystal ball–inspired weapon appearance, “Phantasmal Gift: Star Omen,” which can be equipped by any Catalyst wielder.

There will also be new mini-games, including a special Kamera challenge that takes place across Natlan, Fontaine, and Sumeru. Alongside new updates to Travelers’ Tales, there will be a strategic defense gameplay mode focused on fending off waves of enemies. In Miliastra Wonderland, the new voice feature will be available with gameplay modes designed around this functionality. The new Manekin/Manekina cosmetic set, “Owl Envoy,” will also be free through in-game events.

Lastly, Genshin Impact is available now for Android, iOS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Windows and Epic Games Store.
