Dragami Games has announced that Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Nintendo Switch 2 Edition releases on March 26 in Japan. Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Nintendo Switch 2 Edition costs 7,590 yen (tax included), and an Upgrade Pack will be available for 1,100 yen (tax included). A release date for the western release was not announced yet.
The Switch 2 version of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP features major improvements in resolution, frame rate, and graphics quality compared to the Switch version. Nintendo Switch owners of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will be able to upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 version via an upgrade pack. In addition, the Nintendo Switch 2 version includes an exclusive “Gun Shooting Mode,” where players fend off against zombies with only ranged attacks.
The game’s previous update released this past December with the new “Cutie Zombie Hunter” costume, which was a winning design from the Costume Design Contest. More winning costume designs will be introduced in future updates for Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP.
Previously, Nada Holdings and Dragami Games teamed up to announce a new Lollipop Chainsaw game and anime were in the works. The development team of the new game involves key staff members that were part of the previous Lollipop Chainsaw game, and an official X (formerly Twitter) account for the upcoming project has been opened.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
