Square Enix has released a new update for HD-2D turn-based RPG Octopath Traveler 0 with some adjustments to camera movement during battles. The new Octopath Traveler 0 update also fixes an issue where the designated manager of the facility built in “Kindlers of the Flame Ch. 4” is placed incorrectly, according to the patch notes.
Octopath Traveler 0 is available now for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A free demo is available now with save data transfers over to the full game. The Standard Edition costs $49.99, while the Digital Deluxe Edition costs $59.99.

Final Weapon previously reviewed Octopath Traveler 0 and gave it a 4.5/5 score, noting that the game “delivers the series’ most cohesive story yet, backed by its sharpest combat system and a surprisingly addictive town-building feature. By blending a focused narrative with a large, memorable cast and wrapping it all in gorgeous HD-2D visuals, it stands as both the strongest entry in the franchise and one of the best JRPGs in years.”
Octopath Traveler 0 was featured on the cover of Famitsu’s December 18 magazine issue, which released on December 4. The December 18 Famitsu issue includes a cover illustration by Octopath Traveler 0 character designer Naoki Ikushima, and the issue has a 21-page feature and interview with producer Hirohito Suzuki.
