Message from Toshiaki Iwashiro
It’s finally happening—PSYREN is getting an anime! I’m overjoyed that I can finally share this news with my parents and family, something I wasn’t able to do about 15 years ago.
Several young editors and anime production staff have come up to me with a fiery gleam in their eyes, telling me they loved PSYREN when they were teenagers. Knowing that those
same people, now grown, are involved in bringing this anime to life fills me with nothing but gratitude and emotion. I truly hope the excitement and thrill of PSYREN reaches everyone!
I also had the opportunity to be involved in the script, and like all of you, I’m eagerly looking forward to seeing Ageha and the rest of the cast come to life—moving and speaking on screen.
Message from Rikuya Yasuda
I’m Rikuya Yasuda, and I’ll be voicing Ageha Yoshina. I received the news that I passed the audition while I was at home—and I’m glad I was in a place where I could yell out loud, because I really did! Ever since that moment, the excitement of being part of the PSYREN TV anime hasn’t left me, and I’m dying to share it with all of you. Now, almost 15 years after the manga concluded, PSYREN is heating up once again. I’ll be charging full speed ahead alongside Ageha into this wild, psychic world!!
Message from Mayuko Kazama
I’m Mayuko Kazama, and I’ll be playing the role of Sakurako Amamiya. Amamiya is known for her cool and composed demeanor—so much so that she’s earned the nickname “Ice Queen.” But beneath that calm exterior lies a whirlwind of emotions. During recording, I gave my all to explore her inner world and express her hidden layers as vividly as possible. Please look forward to the broadcast!
Iwashiro’s PSYREN manga was serialized on Weekly Shonen Jump from 2008 to 2010. Lastly, here’s an overview of the series, via REMOW:
One day, high schooler Ageha Yoshina picks up a mysterious “red phone card” left
behind in a public telephone booth.
A few days later, his childhood friend and classmate, Sakurako Amamiya—who possessed the same card—suddenly vanishes without a trace. In search of her, Ageha finds himself drawn into the rumors surrounding a nationwide string of mysterious disappearances, said to be the work of a secret organization known only as “Psyren.” When he accesses the group, a deadly game begins—one that will change his fate
forever.
