Level Infinite and SHIFT UP has launched the Goddess of Victory: NIKKE Winter Update with festive new skins, a “TERMINUS TICKET” story event, and a laid-back puzzle mini-game. For the first time, the AZX Railway will be bringing passengers to the surface with three new costumes for the expedition.
Players can receive new outfits from Nora, one of the first civilian passengers brought to the surface by the AZX train. These outfits include a casual “Winter Sweets” outfit for Diesel and a “Silent Track” ensemble for Brid. Players can earn the “Fortune Express” outfit for Blanc by playing Coin Rush.
In the TERMINUS TICKET story event, players will follow the AZX Team as they attempt to fulfill the wishes of the passengers. The story focuses on a “train bound for happiness,” which is the Railway attendants’ original aspiration. Moreover, the Goddess of Victory: NIKKE Winter Update introduces the AZX Service Time minigame, which is a casual puzzle game were players link together numbers amounting to 10 to remove them.
The new update also makes various quality-of-life improvements. Balance adjustments were made to the Union Raid Hard Mode, and a new Story Line Guide feature helps players understand the game’s main narrative.
Goddess of Victory: NIKKE is available on iOS, Android, and PC via Windows and Google Play Games. The global success of Goddess of Victory: NIKKE helped kickstart SHIFT UP’s expansion of a studio. SHIFT UP is planning to release a Stellar Blade sequel and the new Project Spirits action RPG by 2027 as part of an IP expansion plan. Project Spirits will be a cross-platform title on consoles, PC, and mobile devices, and the game itself is built in Unreal Engine 5.
