The official website for the short TV anime adaptation of Yakinikuteishoku’s Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android? manga confirmed the anime’s January 9, 2026 premiere at 25:00 JST, or January 10 at 1:00 a.m. JST, on Tokyo MX and AnimeFesta. A new trailer was also released to preview the theme song “Android de Shin Jidai (A New Era of Android)” by Aogiri High School VTuber group member Komaru Kurikoma.
Moreover, the anime’s staff confirmed that an original OVA for Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android?, dubbed “Episode 9,” will be released to depict what happens after the short anime series. The main anime will also get an uncensored “Deregula” version on AnimeFesta.
The cast of the on-air version of Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android? includes Ayaka Shimizu as Akane Tsuda and Marika Hayase as android Nadeshiko. Aogiri High School VTuber group member Komaru Kurikoma is a guest voice actor playing the role of Akane’s junior, Itō-san. In the uncensored version, Ao Senami plays Akane Tsuda alongside Yū Shiraki as Nadeshiko, and Kurikoma retains her role as Itō-san.
Neko B directs the anime at Nyan Pollution-ω- and is also in charge of the series scripts. Mitsuru Tsukiumi is the character designer and color key artist, Yutaka Aota is the art director, and Tomohiro Hayashi is the compositing director of photography and editor. What’s more, Fumihiko Ōtera is the sound director, and ZincP is composing the music.
