Kadokawa has announced that the TV anime adaptation for Akumi Agitogi and Tsukiho Tsukioka’s My Happy Marriage light novel series will get a new 3-episode special. The 3-episode special for My Happy Marriage will air on TV in Japan and stream worldwide on Netflix in 2026. In addition, a new My Happy Marriage anime is currently in the works.
Reina Ueda and Kaito Ishikawa reprise their respective roles as Miyo and Kudo in the special.
Takehiro Kubota returns to direct the three-episode special at Kinema Citrus. Kubota is also in charge of series composition. Mik Tanaka and Ikuho Negi pen the script, and Shōko Yasuda, Hikaru Sato, and Kuniyuki Itō are the character designers. Evan Call returns as the music composer.

My Happy Marriage Season 2 premiered on January 6, 2025, on Netflix. Kashitarō Itō performs the series ending theme song, “Tsukikage Okuri” (Moonlight Sending). Riria performs the opening theme song “Shiawase no Yakusoku” (A Happy Promise).
My Happy Marriage is a light novel series written by Akumi Agitogi and illustrated by Tsukiho Tsukioka. The manga authors launched the series in 2019, and Yen Press currently publishes the series in English.
