Aniplex, JOYCITY, and Capcom have launched free-to-play real-time strategy game Resident Evil: Survival Unit on Android via Google Play Store and iOS via App Store in 151 countries and regions worldwide, with additional territories to follow in 2026. To celebrate the game’s launch, a new trailer was released to give players a final preview before they dive in.
For meeting 2 million pre-registrations, all Resident Evil: Survival Unit players will receive several rewards at launch, including Advanced Flare Gun, 200K Rewards Package, Speedup (5min), 1,000 Gems, Base Skin (7 Days), and Special Flare Gun. These rewards will give players a major head start as a boon for their continued support heading into launch.
Previously, a cinematic trailer for Resident Evil: Survival Unit confirmed that Japanese rock band QUEEN BEE is performing the theme song “Mountain Hunt,” with vocals by Avu-chan. The trailer was produced by Quebico, the studio behind the full 3DCG animation Resident Evil: Death Island. As described by Aniplex, the song portrays the tension between creatures and characters as players seek survival.
Resident Evil: Survival Unit was playable for the first time ever at Tokyo Game Show 2025, which ran from September 25 to 28 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. Fans had the opportunity to try out playable demo of the Resident Evil mobile game at the game’s Capcom Tokyo Game Show 2025 booth. An original neck strap was given away to players who tried the game at the convention as well.
