SEGA has announced that a Legend Competition event will start in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds on December 4th until December 21st. The event will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
According to SEGA, the event will ask you to “race your way to the top of the new Legend Grade ladder! Only players ranked LEGEND 9 or higher in the World Ranking can join. Recently, SEGA confirmed that NiGHTS will arrive in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds as a playable character alongside the Dream Sleeper Vehicle with a new update this December, followed by AiAi from Super Monkey Ball and the Banana Cruiser Vehicle in January 2026. Sonic the Hedgehog IDW series characters Tangle and Whisper will join the roster in February 2026.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Nintendo Switch 2 Edition launches on December 4 digitally for $69.99. A Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Pack will be available for $10, and it will be discounted at $5 from December 4 to December 11. The physical Standard Edition of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will release in early 2026 with the full game on the Switch 2 cartridge.
