Nintendo has released the version 1.0.1 update for Kirby Air Riders Global Test Ride ahead of the demo’s second weekend session, which lasts from November 15 to 16. Kirby Air Riders Global Test Ride update 1.0.1 fixes some gameplay issues and bugs that players encountered during the first weekend session, along with some improvements to online stability.

- Improved communication stability during online play.
- Fixed an issue where City Trial matching sometimes did not successfully connect after a long period of time.
- Fixed an issue where City Trial matches would sometimes not start properly.
- Fixed an issue where other players’ games might not progress, such as a player experiencing a communication error in a paddock.
- Made several other miscellaneous gameplay fixes.

You may still experience matching and communication issues after this update. If a match does not start after 90 seconds or more on the matching screen, try exiting the matching screen. If you cannot exit, try restarting the software.
The Kirby Air Riders Global Test Ride is available to download in the Nintendo eShop. In-game introductory lessons are accessible at any time during the weekend, even outside the session timeslots.
Here’s the schedule for the second weekend of Kirby Air Riders Global Test Ride:
- November 15, from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. PT
- November 15, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. PT
- November 16, from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. PT
The new Kirby & Warp Star and Bandana Waddle Dee & Winged Star amiibo will launch on November 20 alongside Kirby Air Riders for Nintendo Switch 2. Kirby Air Riders players can tap them to summon Figure Players in-game that you can train and level up, and the amiibo also allows them to swap riders just like in the game to choose your rider and machine. New Meta Knight & Shadow Star, King Dedede & Tank Star, and Chef Kawasaki & Hop Star amiibo will launch in 2026.
This successor to 2003’s Kirby Air Ride offers many new features, including a wide range of playable characters across the Kirby series, a variety of machines, and more. Some of the characters include Daroach from Kirby: Squeak Squad, Taranza from Kirby: Triple Deluxe, Rick from Kirby’s Dream Land 2, Marx from Kirby Super Star, Lololo & Lalala, Rocky, Scarfy, and Waddle Dee.
