Persona 3 Reload for Nintendo Switch 2 will receive updates over time with performance improvements, according to a recent interview between Nintendo Life and developers Kazuhisa Wada (P-Studio director), Yoshihiro Komori (general producer), and Azusa Shimada (character artist). The news follows up after the release of the free Persona 3 Reload demo on Nintendo Switch 2, which experienced frame rate dips.

According to Komori, the developers at ATLUS are working to improve the performance of Persona 3 Reload on Switch 2 in future updates, since careful quality assurance, or QA for short, is required and may be difficult to address in time for launch. Unfortunately, a 60 FPS performance mode doesn’t appear to be in the cards at this time

When asked about a potential 60 FPS mode, Komori said, “We have also been positively considering increasing the frame rate; however, for this release, we prioritized delivering the Switch 2 version to everyone as quickly as possible. As such, we regret to inform you that there are currently no plans to implement this kind of requested feature at this time.”

The Persona 3 Reload demo is available now on Nintendo Switch 2. In the demo, players experience the opening of Persona 3 Reload all the way to the first major boss battle, and save data carries over to the full game. Fans can also pre-order Persona 3 Reload on Nintendo Switch 2 to receive a bonus Persona 4 Golden BGM (Background Music) Set, only available before launch. Episode Aigis and the Expansion Pass DLC will also be heading to the platform as separate purchases.

Lastly, Persona 3 Reload is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The Nintendo Switch 2 version launches on October 23 worldwide.
