The staff of the TV anime adaptation of Sou Akaike’s Easygoing Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord: Production Magic Turns a Nameless Village into the Strongest Fortified City (Okiraku Ryōshu no Tanoshii Ryōchi Bōei) light novel series confirmed the anime’s January 2026 premiere. The trailer confirms that Rei Nakashima performs opening theme song “Okirakuze~shon.”

Tetsuya Tatamitani directs the Easygoing Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord anime at NAZ. Yutaka Yasunaga is in charge of the series scripts, and Kana Utatane is the music composer. Flying Dog is in charge of music production.
Akaike launched the Easygoing Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord story on May 15, 2020 on the Shōsetsu ni Narō website. Moreover, Overlap Bunko began to publish the light novel series with illustrations by Kururi in September 2021. Maro Aoiro launched the novel on Overlap’s Comic Gardo website in August 2021.
Lastly, Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the manga in English and describes the story as follows:
