Seed Lab has announced a collaboration between Starsand Island and My Time at Portia. In the collaboration, the sibling duo Ginger and Gust from My Time at Portia will arrive on the island in Starsand Island, and their original voice actors will reprise their roles as players make new sunny memories with the characters. Further details about the collaboration will be revealed at a later date.
What’s more, a free demo for Starsand Island is now available on PC via Steam as part of Steam Next Fest, which lasts until October 21. The Starsand Island demo includes roughly 2.5 hours of gameplay, which encompasses five full days and nights on the island. Players can build relationships with characters, unlock unique storylines, design and build homes, discover secrets, and enjoy different gameplay experiences in the demo. Data from the Starsand Island demo will be wiped after the event ends, which also means save data doesn’t carry over to the full game. Players can join the official Discord server and fill out a questionnaire to give their feedback to the developers.
Lastly, Starsand Island launches on February 1, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The game will be an Xbox Play Anywhere title across Xbox and PC devices, such as the new ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X handhelds.
