Xbox and ASUS confirmed the prices of the new ROG Xbox Ally (512GB) and ROG Xbox Ally X (1TB) PC handhelds at $599.99 and $999.99, respectively. ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X will launch on October 16, and pre-orders are available now at participating retailers, including Best Buy, and the Microsoft Store. The aforementioned prices for the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X does not include tax and shipping fees, which vary by location.

The ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X handhelds blend the performance of Xbox hardware with the freedom of Windows 11. Both devices offer a portable PC gaming experience, cloud gaming via Xbox Game Pass, and native Xbox titles through Windows. The ROG Xbox Ally comes equipped with AMD Ryzen Z2 A Processor, 16GB RAM, and a 512 GB SSD, while the ROG Xbox Ally X features the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme Processor, 24GB RAM, and a 1TB SSD.

Each handheld features a dedicated Xbox button that opens an enhanced Game Bar overlay with Xbox and ROG’s feature suite, including Gaming Copilot (Beta). Players also have quick access to an aggregated gaming library from Xbox, Game Pass, Battle.net, and other leading PC storefronts.

Moreover, Xbox announced its Handheld Compatibility Program, which will work to ensure more games are ready to play on supported handhelds. At launch, players can see which games are compatible with their ROG Xbox Ally or Ally X by looking for the “Handheld Optimized” or “Mostly Compatible” badges.

More features will be available in early 2026 for the ROG Xbox Ally X, including Automatic Super Resolution and AI-powered highlight reels. Further updates for both devices include advanced shader delivery for preloading game shaders, a wide range of compatible accessories such as the ROG Raikiri II Xbox Wireless Controller, and much more.
