Dotemu has released a free update for NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound featuring a new skin for Kenji that changes his likeness to that of Yakumo from NINJA GAIDEN 4. The new Yakumo skin for NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound was released just a week before the launch of NINJA GAIDEN 4.
Previously, Dotemu released the “D2” major update for NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound with fixes to checkpoint and cutscene soft-locks, adjusted boss fights and challenges, smoother animations and enemy behaviors, and much more. The NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound D2 update is live on all platforms.
NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound released on July 31 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Final Weapon reviewed NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound and gave it a 4.5 out of 5, noting that the game “offers some of the best 2D combat and movement I’ve ever experienced in an action platformer.”
NINJA GAIDEN 4 launches on October 21 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Windows and Steam. The upcoming action game features two playable characters, the new protagonist Yakumo from the Raven clan and the returning series lead, Ryu Hayabusa. The story of Ninja Gaiden 4 centers around the return of the Dark Dragon. Players can expect all-new movesets, challenging levels, and high-speed dynamic action that PlatinumGames is known for.
