Tekken 8 Reveals Patch Notes for Update 2.06

Bandai Namco has released Tekken 8 update 2.06 as early access for DLC character Armor King begins, and official patch notes for the update were also revealed. Like previous updates for Tekken 8, replays from previous patches will not be available once update 2.06 is installed, and ghost data will reflect the behavior and performance changes after the update is applied.

Impact of the Update

The following changes will take effect in each mode and feature after the update:

  • DOWNLOADED REPLAYS / MY REPLAY & TIPS
    • Replay data created before the update will no longer be playable.
  • ONLINE REPLAY
    • All replay data created before the update will be deleted.
  • SUPER GHOST BATTLE / GHOST MATCH / Ghost vs Ghost
    • The behavior and performance adjustments applied to each character after the update will be reflected in ghost data.
    • Ghost data will not be deleted.

Downloadable Content (Paid DLC)

Playable Character “Armor King”

  • Support for “Armor King,” scheduled to be distributed via each platform’s store on the following dates:

Early Access

  • CEST – Around 1:00 AM on Tuesday, October 14th
  • PDT – Around 4:00 PM on Monday, October 13th

Early access (72 hours) is available by purchasing one of the following sets.

For players who own the TEKKEN 8 base game:

  • Tekken 8 Season 2 Character & Stage Pass
  • Tekken 8 Season 2 Character Pass

For players who do not own the Tekken 8 base game:

  • Tekken 8 Season 2 Ultimate Edition
  • Tekken 8 Season 2 Deluxe Edition

General Access

  • CEST – Around 1:00 AM on Friday, October 17th
  • PDT – Around 4:00 PM on Thursday, October 16th

General access is available by purchasing the Armor King DLC scheduled for release at the above time.

  • Complete missions within the period to level up and earn various items.
  • “PREMIUM” offers more items than “FREE.”
  • You can obtain up to 100 TEKKEN COINS via “FREE.”
  • Additionally, “PREMIUM” allows you to earn up to 600 more coins for a total of 700 TEKKEN COINS.

Nightmare Jester Pack Added

A common costume pack including the following 7 items will be added.

  • A limited-time sale commemorating Armor King ‘s release will be held at 75% OFF (100 TEKKEN COINS).

Character Move Behavior Fixes

  • In V2.06, adjustments have been made primarily to hitboxes and collision detection to address unintended behaviors.
  • Improvements have been made to sound effects, voiceovers, and visual effects to enhance overall quality.
  • Some moves that had their command inputs changed in Version 2.00 can now also be executed using their old command inputs. This change applies only to King and Lee, as no moves were assigned to those old inputs for them.

Tekken 8 DLC character Miary Zo launches on December 4 worldwide as the game’s latest roster addition for Season 2. Miary Zo will be available on December 1 in early access for Tekken 8 Season 2 Character Pass owners alongside a new update with the Baobab Horizon stage.
