Battlefield 6 launch weekend has been quite an eventful one, with the new first-person shooter reaching a peak player count of 747,440 on Steam a few hours after the game went live on Friday. In addition to the record-setting player count, Battlefield 6 is the top-selling and top wishlisted game on Steam for the week, and it earned a “Very Positive” user rating on the platform with more than 18,000 reviews.
Additionally, Electronic Arts and Battlefield Studios also issued an statement on Friday regarding an outage on the EA app, which prevented some players from being able to play Battlefield 6. As compensation, anyone on the EA app who was affected will receive 12 Hardware and 12 Career 60-Minute Boosters, along with full access to a seasonal Battle Pass for free. Impacted players who had purchased the Phantom Edition will receive Season 2’s full Battle Pass as well.
Battlefield 6 is available right now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Before launch, EA revealed patch notes for the day one update, version 1.0.1.0, which made improvements to movement, weapon handling, Rush and Breakthrough layouts, maps, UI, netcode, and other fundamental elements of the game.
Final Weapon reviewed Battlefield 6 and gave it a 4 out of 5 score, noting that the game is a return to form for the series with refined first-person shooter gunplay, fan-favorite multiplayer modes and weapons, tried-and-true progression systems, and a single-player campaign that reminds players what Battlefield is all about.” Lastly, our Battlefield 6 review can be found on YouTube:
