To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Code Geass anime in 2026, the “Road to CODE GEASS 20th Year” special project was announced with multiple phases. The project includes revival screenings and new events.
The Road to CODE GEASS 20th Year project kicks off with the “Code Geass Project ‘To 20th'” memorial event on December 7, 2025 at the Belle Salle Shinjuku Grand in Tokyo. Jun Fukuyama (Lelouch Lamperouge), Kohei Amasaki (Rozé) and Makoto Furukawa (Ash) will appear for a special talk session, a new reading drama, and various announcements.
A revival screening event for a 13 films in the Code Geass series, titled “CODE GEASS 20th Anniversary Retrospective: Road to CODE GEASS 20th Year,” will begin on January 6, 2026. The three Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion films, the five Code Geass: Akito the Exiled films, Code Geass Lelouch of the Re;surrection, and the Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture films will be screened in order every on Tuesdays and Thursdays through June 2026 in Japan.
What’s more, a sequel to the Code Geass: Seido ni Junzuru Kishi musical from September 2023 will open in January 2026. Ryotaro Akazawa and Koji Kominami will reprise their respective roles as Suzaku Kururugi and Lelouch Lamperouge. More cast announcements will be made at a later date.
Previously, Kadokawa has launched the new Code Geass: Pure Almaria manga series on its official Kadocomi website. The manga connects the events of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection to Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture, which premiered on June 21, 2024 for Disney+. A total of 12 episodes were released during the weekly run of Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture.
