Aniplex, JOYCITY, and Capcom announced real-time strategy game Resident Evil: Survival Unit will be playable for the first time at Tokyo Game Show 2025, which runs from September 25 to 28 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. Fans can try a playable demo of Resident Evil: Survival Unit at the Capcom Tokyo Game Show 2025 booth to receive an original neck strap as a gift while supplies last.
To celebrate the announcement, a special campaign is now live on the official Resident Evil: Survival Unit English X (formerly Twitter) account until October 5 for US residents. To participate, fans must follow the account to enter the raffle, and they can gain entries by reposting, liking, and sharing the campaign post and using hashtags #FOLLOWRESU, #ResidentEvil, and #SurvivalUnit. 20 winners will receive $10 digital gift codes for either Apple or Google Play.
Previously, a cinematic trailer for Resident Evil: Survival Unit confirmed that Japanese rock band QUEEN BEE is performing the theme song “Mountain Hunt,” with vocals by Avu-chan. The trailer was produced by Quebico, the studio behind the full 3DCG animation Resident Evil: Death Island. As described by Aniplex, the song portrays the tension between creatures and characters as players seek survival.
Resident Evil: Survival Unit will launch in 2025 globally on Android via Google Play Store and iOS via App Store. For meeting 1 million pre-registrations, all Resident Evil: Survival Unit players will receive several rewards at launch, including Advanced Flare Gun, 200K Rewards Package. Speedup (5min), 1,000 Gems, Base Skin (7 Days), and Special Flare Gun.
