Edia has revealed Kigetsu no Yoru, a new “time-leap survival horror adventure” game for Nintendo Switch. Kigetsu no Yoru launches on January 29, 2026 in Japan for 5,280 yen (tax included.
Here’s an overview of the game, along with the opening movie, via Gematsu:
A modern-day high school student is reincarnated as someone caught up in a mass murder case in a gloomy rural village of the early Showa era. This is a “time-leap survival horror” in which the protagonist gets dragged into the incident and dies, repeating the same time over and over while striving to make the right choices to survive. With each time leap, relationships become more entangled, and murderous intent becomes inescapable. Through repetition, the village’s customs, hidden secrets, and the true culprit’s motives gradually come to light.
When the waning moon fades, will you be greeted by hope… or despair?
