During the Aniplex Online Fest, Aniplex revealed the cast, staff, teaser video, and key visual for the upcoming anime adaptation of Kureha’s The Ogre’s Bride (Oni no Hanayome) light novels. According to the teaser video, the anime will air in 2026.

Saori Hayami will star as the protagonist Yuzu Shinonome, and Yūichirō Umehara will play Reiya Kiryuin. Kazuhito Ōmiya is directing the anime at Colored Pencil Animation Japan. Yumi Kamakura is handling the series composition, while Hikari Tanaka is designing the characters. Masaru Yokoyama is composing the music.
Kureha first released the light novel series on Starts Publishing’s Novema! Platform in 2019. The sixth volume was published on January 10. Jun Togashi launched the manga adaptation in December 2021 on Starts Publishing’s Noicomi magazine. The manga adaptation won Noicomi’s annual comic ranking in the girl comics category in 2022 and 2023. Together, the light novel series and its manga adaptation have over 5.8 million copies in circulation.
