Aniplex revealed that the upcoming anime adaptation of late manga creator Hisaya Nakajo’s Hana-Kimi manga will air in January 2026. The event revealed a key visual, and YOASOBI will perform the opening and ending theme songs.
The cast and staff of the Hana-Kimi anime include:

- Jun Fukuyama as Hokuto Umeda
- Reiji Kawashima as Senri Nakao
- Kōki Uchiyama as Daiki Kayashima
- Wataru Komada as Kyogo Sekime
- Anan Furuya as Shinji Noe
- Kōtarō Nishiyama as Wataru Nihonbashi
- Yūko Natsuyoshi as Julia M. (Maxwell)
Natsuki Takemura directs the Hana-Kimi anime at Signal.MD, and Shigeru Ueda is the assistant director. Takao Yoshioka is in charge of series scripts, Shi Yi Su is the character designer, Masaru Yokoyama is the music composer, and Jin Aketagawa is the sound director.
What’s more, Crunchyroll will stream the new Hana-Kimi anime in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS and India.
Hisaya Nakajo published the Hana-Kimi manga in Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume magazine from 1996 to 2004. A total of 23 volumes were released in Japan, with VIZ Media releasing the English edition of the manga. Nakajo passed away at the age of 50 in October 2023, and her legacy continues with the new anime series.
