SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio announced Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O World Stage is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 this winter. The Nintendo Switch 2 version features rollback netcode and cross-play support with other versions of Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O World Stage.
The Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O World Stage closed beta test is ongoing until September 15 at 7:59 p.m. PDT / 10:59 p.m. EDT. The closed beta test will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam with cross-play. During the closed beta test, players will have access to Ranked Mode, Online Matchmaking, Offline Training Mode, and Offline Arcade Mode.
All Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O players on Steam will receive the World Stage edition at no additional cost. On PlayStation 5, Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown players may purchase the new edition for a discounted price of $9.99 (MSRP: $19.99) with DLC carrying over. Pre-orders are available now on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with a SEGA Genesis character customization item as a bonus.
Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O World Stage launches first on October 30 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The game features the new World Stage mode, the new DLC character Dural, cross-play across all platforms, rollback netcode, and more.
