SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio announced the Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O World Stage closed beta test will be held from September 10 at 8:00 p.m. PDT / 11:00 p.m. EDT to September 15 at 7:59 p.m. PDT / 10:59 p.m. EDT. The Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O World Stage closed beta test will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam with cross-play.
During the closed beta test, players will have access to Ranked Mode, Online Matchmaking, Offline Training Mode, and Offline Arcade Mode. Players on console must have a free SEGA account to participate in the closed beta test, after which they will receive a redeemable product code for the test. On PC, players can request access on the game’s official Steam page. Players who participate in the beta and purchase the game will receive the “Virtua Team” in-game title for free.
Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O World Stage launches October 30 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, followed by the Nintendo Switch 2 version at a later date. The game features the new World Stage mode, the new DLC character Dural, cross-play across all platforms, rollback netcode, and more.
All Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O players on Steam will receive the World Stage edition at no additional cost. On PlayStation 5, Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown players may purchase the new edition for a discounted price of $9.99 (MSRP: $19.99) with DLC carrying over. Pre-orders are available now on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with a SEGA Genesis character customization item as a bonus.
