Nintendo announced Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 will launch on October 2 for Nintendo Switch. Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be sold digitally and separately on Nintendo Switch, and the titles are fully compatible on Nintendo Switch 2. There will also be new amiibo and a physical release of the actual storybook featured in Super Mario Galaxy.
Together, a bundle containing both games is available for $69.99 on the Nintendo eShop. Separately, each game is $39.99. The games will feature improved UI, the option to play with button and stick or motion controls, a new in-game music player, new Storybook content, and enhanced resolution. A 4K update is also planned for Switch 2.
Nintendo also launched its “My Mario” product line this past August. The new series of products is aimed at delivering fun experiences for young children and their parents. The lineup also included the new Hello, Mario! app for Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
One of the most recent games in the long-running Mario franchise was Super Mario Party Jamboree. Nintendo recently released the version 2.2.0 update for Super Mario Party Jamboree with several adjustments and bug fixes on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Most notably, the update adds full 1080p support for Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV.
In Final Weapon’s review of Super Mario Party Jamboree: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV, we described it as “one of the best Mario Party games ever with a mediocre collection of updates that feel like gimmicks for the most part. The puzzling decision to split updates across the Switch and Switch 2 content only adds to the overall feeling that this is a channel I can’t recommend tuning into unless you’re the biggest of Mario Party fans.”
