Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo Unveiled
An amalgamation of motorsports history and forward-thinking technologies
The Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo combines the iconic Corsa nameplate with the “GSE” sports sub-brand. This all-electric high-performance car combines Opel’s rich motorsport heritage with future-thinking technologies.
The exterior is defined by sharp and precise feature lines combined with technical and machined details. The front and rear feature interwoven horizontal and vertical lines forming the signature Opel Compass, the guiding element of the design. The car also boasts excellent aerodynamic performance with active spoilers alongside aero blade fender flares enhancing the vehicle’s handling at high speeds.
Not to be outdone by its exterior, the powerplant is equally formidable. It utilizes two 350 kW (476ps) electric motors, one on each axle, and boasts a combined output of 588 kW (800ps) along with 800 Nm (81.6kgm) of torque. Running through the four-wheel drive system, this allows for a 0-100km/h acceleration time of just 2.0 seconds and a top speed of 320km/h.
On the interior, drivers can look forward to a detoxed racing experience. The cockpit is equipped with a suspended, lightweight driver’s seat with six-point seatbelts which together with the roll-cage ensures the highest safety standards.
Elsewhere, onboard sensors alert the driver to the presence of other vehicles. For example, when a vehicle enters the blind spot, a warning appears via illuminated fabrics that cover the dashboard and door inserts.
The Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo is a simultaneous expression of both Opel’s history and future.
