Following the release of update 1.49, Arc System Works released a new player survey for Guilty Gear Strive focusing on feedback and opinions for Season 4. The Guilty Gear Strive Season 4 survey is available until September 17 at 7:59 a.m. PDT / 10:59 a.m. EDT.
Arc System Works released Guilty Gear Strive update 1.48 on August 21 update with battle balance adjustments for all characters, multiple changes and additions to online features, the new DLC character Lucy, and much more. The arrival of Lucy was accompanied by various songs from Cyberpunk 2077 and Cyberpunk Edgerunners, including “Run to the Edge,” “Cyberwildlife Park,” “Chippin’ In,” “Never Fade Away,” and “I Really Want to Stay At Your House.”
Update 1.48 also introduce the character-specific Ranked Match mode called “Duel Tower.” In Duel Tower, players begin with 10 placement matches to determine their rank per character. Moreover, high-level players will retain some rank protection when trying out new characters. For example, players with a top rank like Vanquisher will not be placed too low, even if they lose their placements.
Arc System Works also teased the Guilty Gear Strive 2.00 update coming in 2026, with a few character hints. Two character silhouettes were shown, which appear to tease Jam and Robo Ky. The Nintendo Switch version of Guilty Gear Strive will also receive a major update in fall 2025 to bring parity between it and the other versions with balance updates, Duel Tower, and much more.
Guilty Gear Strive is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Windows. The Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers is streaming on Crunchyroll. Ulma sound junction performed the opening theme song “AXCLUSION,” and Nowlu performed the ending theme song “Arika (Location).”
