The official website for the new anime adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi’s Ranma 1/2 manga revealed that the second season will air on October 4. Wednesday Campanella will perform the opening theme song, “Wo Aini,” and Nishina will perform the ending theme song, “Panda Girl.”
The cast for Ranma 1/2 includes the following:
- Kappei Yamaguchi as (male) Ranma Saotome
- Megumi Hayashibara as (female) Ranma
- Noriko Hidaka as Akane Tendō
- Minami Takayama as Nabiki Tendō
- Kikuko Inoue as Kasumi Tendō
- Kōichi Yamadera as Ryōga Hibiki
- Rei Sakuma as Shampoo
- Toshihiko Seki as Mousse (new)
- Kaori Nazuka as Ukyō Kuonji (new)
- Kazuhiko Inoue as Happōsai (new)
- Ako Mayama as Cologne (new)
- Akira Ishida as Hikaru Gosunkugi (new)
Kōnosuke Uda directed the first season at MAPPA. Kimiko Ueno handles the series scripts, and Hiromi Taniguchi handles the character design. Kōsuke Kawamura joins the staff as one of the chief animation directors, and Ryūta Hayashi joins Chihiro Ōkawa in directing the art.
