FREE STYLE, Inc. has announced that a demo for OBAKEIDORO 2: Chase & Seek will be available at PAX West 2025. Multiple goodies will be available for attendees.
OBAKEIDORO 2 is an asymmetric “multiplayer chase-and-capture game.” There can be up to 8 players online, as they must choose between the Human team (3 or 6 players) or the Monster team (1 or 2 players). The game is designed to be accessible for people of all ages. The original OBAKEIDORO is a tag game where three humans must survive against a sole monster within a three-minute time limit. Humans may win if they aren’t captured, and monsters may win if all humans are captured. OBAKEIDORO’s “very kawaii atmosphere” combines horror with a family-friendly approach.

OBAKEIDORO! is an asymmetric action game in which three Humans face off against one Monster. Gameplay can be as deep or casual as you want to make it.
As a Human, don’t just simply run away! Use your Lantern Attack to fend off the Monster. If you time it just right, you might be able to turn the tides in your favor. As the Monster, utilizating your powerful skills is key to your victory. Use skills like Glide and Track to capture the Humans.
