The official website of the anime adaptation of Haruka Takagishi’s children’s picture book, Latair the Earth, has revealed a promotional video and cast details. The anime will premiere on September 5. The video reveals and introduces a dance for the theme song “Chikyū no Orchestra” (Earth Orchestra) by Yukari Tamura and the Earth Savers, consisting of Reo Tanie and a children’s choir.
The cast and staff of the Latair the Earth anime include:
- Yukari Tamura as Latair
- Reo Tanie as Kanade
- Kaori Nazuka as Arabian Oryx
- Satoshi Inomata as Arabian Oryx
- Hiroki Nanami as Quetzal
Shōji Kawamori, known for his work on Macross, is supervising the work. French artist Thomas Romain’s is the illustrator.
Takagishi released the Latair to Earth Savers ~Zetsumetsu Kigushu ga Oshiete-kureru Koto (Latair and the Earth Savers: What Endangered Species Teach Us) book in Japanese with English translation by her 10-year-old daughter, Kaede Takagishi, in September 2024.
The popular children’s story follows Kanade, an Earth Saver, and Latair, a fairy who has the power to transform Kanade into other creatures.
