Reef Games has announced that it has delayed Terminator 2D: No Fate from its initial release date of September 5 to October 31. Terminator 2D: No Fate was delayed to allow the team to work more on the day one patch and physical editions of the game.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Reef Games said the following:
“Coordinating and manufacturing the physical release has been a longer process than we anticipated, and as a result, we’ve had to delay the release of the game. We apologize, and thank you for bearing with us.
This delay will also give the team at Bitmap Bureau extra time to work on some final refinements for the day one patch and we would like all players to have the opportunity to experience the best version of T2D together. As such, this delay will apply to both physical and digital versions of the game.
From the moment we announced T2D, the response has been absolutely amazing. To all of you, thank you so much for your support. We know that this news is disappointing and we appreciate your understanding.”
The store page describes the game as follows:
Step into a classic arcade experience that pays homage to the Terminator universe with authentic arcade gameplay, music and visuals built from the ground up. See the world of Terminator 2: Judgement Day like never before with detailed 2D sprite artwork of your favorite characters and scenes.
Terminator 2D: No Fate will release on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on September 5. It will later release on retro platforms.
