HIDIVE announced the anime adaptation of Mikihisa Konishi’s Petals of Reincarnation manga series will be streaming on the service as its newest co-production. A premiere date for the anime series was not announced.
“We’re thrilled to announce the highly anticipated anime adaptation of Petals of Reincarnation as HIDIVE’s newest co-production,” said HIDIVE president John Ledford in a press release. “Petals of Reincarnation has been beloved by readers for more than a decade and HIDIVE, together with the entire Production Committee, looks forward to bringing the manga series to life as a supernatural action anime!”
Konishi launched the Petals of Reincarnation manga in May 2014, and the series is still ongoing. The manga is currently serialized in MAGCOMI and Monthly Comic Garden published by MAG Garden, and it is available in English in the Mangamo mobile app. The series has 21 volumes-to-date and more than 3,000,000 copies in circulation. The anime adaptation was first announced on August 1, 2024 in Japan as part of the manga’s 10th anniversary celebration.
Petals of Reincarnation is a supernatural action manga that centers around Touya Senji, a talentless high school student who comes to discovers that talent is gained not from learning but rather a previous life—and only by self-inflicted death and the supernatural aid of the “Stem of Reincarnation.”
