Fate/EXTRA Record Delayed to Spring 2026

Bandai Namco and Type-Moon have announced that Fate/EXTRA Record has been delayed from 2025 to Spring 2026. While it was expected to release this year, no announcements surrounding the game were made in 2025 until today.

The following message was released alongside the announcement: 

Fate/EXTRA Record – Notice of Release Date Change

Thank you all for your support of Bandai Namco’s products. It is with a heavy heart that we come to you with a notice about the release date for Fate/Extra Record, which was previously slated to release in 2025 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Steam.

Previous Release Window: 2025

New Release Window: Spring 2026

As Fate/Extra Record is a full remake of Fate/Extra, we have been diligently developing the game, but have come to the conclusion that we will need more time to make further adjustments to ensure we bring a product that will satisfy all fans. We apologize to all fans who were looking forward to the title’s release. Starting today, the Special Edition and Super Special Edition will be available for pre-order via the ASOBI Store website.”

Physical copies will be available for both PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders at the ASOBI Store are open now, which you can check out below:
