During Anime Expo 2025, Netmarble and Netmarble Nexus announced Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi, a new 3D action game for Android and iOS. Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi lets players explore the world of the anime in full 3D, and players can battle giant bosses while alternating between two characters.
Shangri-La Frontier Season 2 premiered on October 13, 2024, and Crunchyroll is streaming the series outside of Japan. Awich performs the new opening theme song “Frontiers,” and CVLTE performs the new ending theme song “realitYhurts.” The final episode of Season 2 aired this past March with confirmation of Shangri-La Frontier Season 3 entering production.
A total of 25 episodes for the first season of the Shangri-La Frontier anime series aired in two cours from October 2023 to March 2024. 13 episodes aired in the first cour, followed by 12 episodes in the second cour.
Katarina began the Shangri-La Frontier web novel series on the “Let’s Be Novelists” website in May 2017. Three years later, the manga adaptation by Ryosuke Fuji began in Weekly Shonen Magazine in July 2020.
