On the Nintendo Today! app, Nintendo announced a Donkey Kong Bananza Direct will be held on June 18 at 6:00 a.m. PDT / 9:00 a.m. EDT on YouTube. The Donkey Kong Bananza Direct will feature 15 minutes of new information regarding the Nintendo Switch 2 game.
Previously, Nintendo’s Special Feature 2025 magazine for Nintendo Switch 2 revealed Donkey Kong Bananza will run at 1080p 60 FPS in handheld mode. Moreover, Donkey Kong Bananza will support HDR in handheld mode and docked mode, ensuring that the game can take advantage of a wider range of colors in handheld and on supported displays.
As previously announced, the new title marks the first 3D entry in the Donkey Kong series since Donkey Kong 64 on the Nintendo 64. Donkey Kong Bananza will launch on July 17 for $69.99, just one month after the launch of the new console. Nintendo Switch 2 launched on June 5 with a $449.99 MSRP, and a bundle is available for $499.99 featuring Mario Kart World.
