Nintendo’s Special Feature 2025 magazine for Nintendo Switch 2 revealed new details about performance for upcoming 3D platformer Donkey Kong Bananza, confirming that the game will run at 1080p 60 FPS in handheld mode. Moreover, Donkey Kong Bananza will support HDR in handheld mode and docked mode, ensuring that the game can take advantage of a wider range of colors in handheld and on supported displays.
As previously announced, the new title marks the first 3D entry in the Donkey Kong series since Donkey Kong 64 on the Nintendo 64. Donkey Kong Bananza will launch on July 17 for $69.99, just one month after the launch of the new console.

Nintendo Switch 2 will launch on June 5 with a $449.99 MSRP, and a bundle will be available for $499.99 featuring Mario Kart World. Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 at Best Buy, Walmart and Target went live on April 24 at 12:00 a.m. EDT, but stock will be replenished periodically leading into launch.
